Fading Light

Fading light muffles words
Sleeping in soft solitude
Of snowy thoughts fleeing fast
Gusts of heart burning mute
Forms whisper stanzas
Still in the gray brooding
Darkness like a doctor
Come to write the dead
In sheets of doubtful wonder
Wrapped in tears unmasked
Spirits of shared sorrow
Dressed in silky pain
Blind worms milk the love
