Fading Away
Minute by minute, day by day,
A little more of me fades away.
Seconds on the clock ticking fast,
Until another year has passed.
Is it because I'm old and grey?
I notice how time slips away.
If I were young and fancy-free,
Time would not bother me.
Do not expect mercy as you age
Your story has reached the final page.
Your clock will stop, no longer chime,
You, Old Duck, ran out of time.
Silence, Perfect, Peace and Grace,
My soul travels to a perfect place,
Eager at my time of passing
I look forward to life everlasting
