Faded Lilac

We shared dreams together
or I should say, you shared in my dreams
nonetheless, dreams were shared.
You cared about them
For the love between us
was stronger than the old lilac tree
Your favorite flower, in both variety and colour.
Fantasies of a little girl, preferably,
but not too soon
Planning the details over a cup of tea
But like the lilacs on the tree
You faded away
As the dreams we shared were removed
I have two sons

Sad conditions for so many women today. I like the way you put the thoughts to pen. Keep writing. Sara
