Faded
Your colour has started to fade
The light you had is disappearing
Where are you going?
Mummy look what I have made
But you never look
Just turn so I face you back
Every time I tried to speak to you
You just had me another book
Where did you go?
Did daddy make you this way?
Don't think he meant it
Mummy why are you so low?
My only answer is the ticking clock
as you bolt another door
Trapping us inside
Closing another lock
Please, mum, don't leave me alone
Her eyes begin to swell
She rocks back and fourth
Huddled in her home,
