Fade To Grey

Happiness only ever lasts for a moment, A drop, a second in the vastness of life. Return to the notes of the broken record, Rolling dry tobacco in cigarettes, Pouring the same trusted wine. You want to be someone else, For the thought of you, Makes your cheeks burn with anger, Makes you want to disappear, Because that would be easier. Easier than to live in the same world as him, Being so near yet in a world of your own. Where nothing can make you smile, Where nothing can make you come alive, Except him. It goes back many years, And now you're getting away with it All messed up inside your little head. Once more drowning in sleepless nights, sad tunes And a self-destructive candy land of fantasies.
