Facts We Face
Faces tell a story of a different kind
The eyes behold a thing of truth
In sadness and in youth
Eyes that light up with a smile
Sparkle in a moment told
Lines are etched on a cheek
Chins are set with no regret
The Forehead holds a steady frown
And cheek bones rise to surprise
The roundness of the moon
Sometimes hearts and sometimes long
Sometimes broad and sometimes strong
downward curve and we are sad
contorted red and we seem bad
A blush of pink and we see love
A face is all of the above.
