Facing the Fact

I asked you
I needed to hear the answer
It wasn't a joke at all
It never was
All of the questions were supposed to help me to decide

I heard it now
I heard it loud and clear
No you can't ever be mine
Even I would turn the world up side down for you
You would never ever be mine

I was shocked
Everything I did was all for nothing
I'm helpless
Yet I have to keep my promises to you

Now here I am
Writing, Trying, Doing my best to face the fact
That you will just never be mine.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
