Facing the Enemy

When you fail to give up
When you carry on without a stop
When you go beyond limits boldly
And face reality quite coldly
And then break through it, shattered
To a new height,
When you go beyond your plateau
Of average to new peak,
Moving ever right on the norm curve
Moving forward, not back
You see new sights
From these heights
You see further,
Clearer!

In the crisp air
Of a cold stare
You face the enemy
Called yourself.

It's inevitable, we all have to face ourselves, sometime. Well written.
