Facets of Him

His essence like AIR to me
Was what I thought I needed to breath
Soon permeated my being
Infecting me with his toxin
Crippling my lungs
Long deep breaths
Became short desperate gasps
Now I am barely alive
Choking to survive

His flow like WATER
Once gentle and inviting so confident was I
Diving head first
Immersed And then left on my own
Clawing my way to the surface
Only to be washed away
 And drowned in his current

His aura solid like EARTH
So high was I that I was floating away
I welcomed tethering myself to him
Content in his orbit fancying myself the moon in his sky illuminating darkness with my wonderful light
Only I didn't realize
That he would show no love
Casting off my glow ....merely... as reflected sun

His passion burned like FIRE
Bringing warmth to my cold desolate existence
Pulling me closer, there was no resistance
Despite his insistence...you will get burned...
I surmised that my love returned would shield my soul
But his passion flared and swallowed me whole
