Faces of Nature

THE FACES OF NATURE

Trees of varying shades of green
	Sway gently in the breeze
 Bursts of vibrant colours
	Glorious sunsets o'er the seas
Brilliant moons and rising sun
             Beauty for all to see

Beauty often hides the anger
            That lies deep within
But lashes out mercilessly
Leaving devastation in its wake

Blasting rains
	Powerful winds
		Surging seas
	Havoc
		Everywhere

Nature can also nourish us
	Green can grow again
We pray to send us healing winds
	 To mend our weary hearts
Bright sunshine to warm our damaged lives
	Gentle rains to wash
	    Our tears
                                       Away
