Faces In the Crowd

Faces in a crowd

Walking through a crowd city
Passing the herd of visitors
As I walk not to be seen
I glace up to catch a glimpse
Of the many faces
Many shapes
Many colors
The faces
Express many emotions
Love
Happiness
Hate
Dread
Confused
Bored
These are the faces
That greets my eyes
Should I speak?
Would they even notice me?
If a hello is spoken from me
What will their response be?
I am to them
One of the many faces
In this crowded city
Another member of the herd
That goes unheard
