Faceless Name

Crouched over in the shower

Last night's mascara dripping down the drain

As well as her innocence being washed away

Feeling she is the only one to blame

Blurs of what happened

Haunted her mind

Trying to block images

Wishing to God she was now blind

REWIND... trying to fit in

at a party he took her to the side

Anxious butterflies filling her stomach

Oh how he lied

NO! she swore she yelled

It a thousand times

or was it her mind being deceitful

Maybe it was whispers she couldn't decide

He told her to grow up

Stop crying now

Biting her lip

blood trickled down

Her first time was robbed

Of the way she dreamt it would be

There was such damage

Such irreversibility

Each time he touched Her skin

having his way

She felt it was on fire

Her mind went far away

Back in the shower

She felt powerless and Shame

Her wounds no longer showed

a lifetime scar, she was a faceless name

Well expressed feelings, values in shambles, our regression in our progression ....

No woman should be made to feel that her body is not her own and that she is a faceless name. Oh do I feel the pain in this piece. Heartbreaking!!
