Faceless Bully

Why do you mock and insult my words?
You don’t have to like my poetry; I
understand because I prefer Poe.
But shaming and ridiculing what I write is
not right.
When you’re by yourself (your conscious
and God) just you and your thoughts.
Do you feel tall by making others feel small?
Tell me, mocker, who bullied you?
Did you become a bully because you were
bullied too?
Have you forgot how it felt when it happened
to you?
Take a moment and remember and break
the cycle.
We can end the cycle of bullying one person
at a time.
Breaking the cycle is going to start with you
and me.
Before I end this poem, there’s one more thing
I to say, you’re forgiven Mr. or Ms. Bully.

It’s sad that people feel they need to bring others down. This is well expressed and conciliatory.

I see this is for the contest. You make it seem very real as if it happened to you. Maybe it has happened to us all at one time or another. great job, Alexis.

I think bullies are just big cowards hiding behind their nasty words. You say it right here, though forgiveness only comes in time, at the moment, it hurts the soul so, winning wishes dear Alexis

I really do not like bullies, sadly there are far too many, but its important that when fighting bullies, we do not become bullies.. Ive found the best way is just to ignore them.. Silence is a powerful response.. Great poem my friend..

Only by us all standing together here on soup will the bullies be beaten, the bullies are heavily outnumbered by the good folk on here. Good luck in the contest Tom

I hope no one is bullying you. I haven't seen you around lately. Perhaps that is why. ~~
