Faced

My face is bleeding
My heart is aching
My child is crying
And I keep on lying to my mother

Your hands never get tired of hitting
on me
bruising my skin
Rearranging my face

You say you love me
you say you care for me
You say you're sorry
You say you're tired of me

Though you never leave
You disrespect me
You beat me to a pulp
you hate me

Today I'm done with you
please move out my way
My bags are already packed
My mother and a police
officer are right behind that door

So I wish you would try something
I wish you would hit me again
because trust you will get yours
whether I'm dead or alive

You stared at me
like you were pondering your
options
You backed up
I left.

Your writing is saturated in pain, I am moved by the rawness of your descriptions. I am adding you to my favorite poets.
