Eyes Wide Open
I sit at the window every night.
Will they come...they just might!
Once before they took me away
Just where that was is hard to say.
It felt just like a scary dream
Waking up with a horrible scream !
Those distorted faces all looking down
As their 'feelers' were feeling all around.
Where was this place they took me to
"So far away" is all I knew.
Then like magic in my head
I was right back in my bed.
Sleepless nights are mine forever
Can't relax not now not ever!
What if they come back when I lay down
I can't do that, I can't sleep sound.
Sitting at the window every single night
With fear in my gut and a mind filled with fright.
so...
I sit at the window
Every night !
