Eyes That Kissed My Mouth
What message should I give my friend the heart? As if my eyes
have kissed my mouth and swallowed all sweet-loving words;
where were you? Where shall I hide from life if life had never
mentioned you or somehow the moon fell into the sun?
Then leave the tea upon the sidewalk and let the fireflies
warm the brew. And mollycoddle rabbits nuzzle closely to mother’s
pelt the last moments of the day’s angry sun -- those igniting
sparks mostly resembling your touching soul.
