Eyes On the Prize

As the cliffs kiss the blue sky at early morning break
I cannot help but gaze in awe at the wonder, the beauty
The day opens before my eyes, as the sun slowly ascends
Leaving me no doubt of creation and the master painter

The view of nature, free to the mind, given by the One
Comes with only a price of human kindness and concern
I look upon all created this early morning, in solemn awe
Thanking the creator with each breath I take, as I take in

The remarkable feeling of becoming one with the surroundings
Is one that can only be attributed to He who is of love
For it is heaven, created for visual pleasure here on earth
As inspiration for us to reach Him when our bodies lay to rest
