Eyes of Green By Ron Porter

in my heart you
reign as queen
purple haired goddess
with eyes of green
each orb emblazoned
with golden star
so much you give
so much you are

water in the desert
honey from the rock
solace to a hurting heart
the Balm of Gilead
rest when i grow weary
shelter from the storm

in times of drought-
refreshing rain
in days of famine-
a feast,? ?in ample store
all of these things
your love to me brings
all of these
and so much more
