Eyes Closed

Beauty lives within our minds
Because through my eyes I only find
Faces masked with hateful lies
Faces shaped to never cry

I’ve seen darkness in purest white
I’ve seen the light that hides at night
To close my eyes will mean the end
Then I open up and start again

Sitting on the highest place
I’ve seen it all, there’s just one pace
But running on the edge I see
I’ll close my eyes if it makes me breathe

When I opened my eyes I couldn’t speak
Monsters becoming everything I seek
Then I finally broke my chains
I saw within, I walked through the flames

Falling off the edge I’ll know
Everything I’ve seen is snow
Formed from clouds within my heart
My soul, my enemy, my art
In the end the clouds will part
I’ll close my eyes, it all restarts
