Eyes Brown, Dark Like Me

Eyes brown, dark like
me
Eyes that see colors,
colors so brilliantly
These brown eyes, dark
like me
Have seen lots of stuff,
throughout history
Eyes brown, dark like
me
Eyes that have seen death,
destruction, and poverty
These brown eyes have seen love
“oh yes, love”
Brown eyes that have seen little
babies, beautiful babies
Eyes brown, dark like
me
Brown eyes that can see
colors so vividly
Brown eyes dark like
me
Can see colors as clear as the
deep blue sea
Brown eyes dark like me
dark brown is all some people
ever see
Eyes brown, dark like me
Can see the beauty
These brown eyes dark like me
I can see you, but you can’t see me
For I’m hidden behind eyes, brown eyes,
dark like me.
