Eyes

They give away emotions.
Love.
Happiness.
Pain.
They create tears.
See the world.
Give life amazing color.
Either with impairments or not,
They're a beautiful gift to have.
Eyes.
Cherish them.
For not all are as lucky.

So true, Shelby. We take our sight for granted until we get to know someone who is blind. I used to lobby on behalf of people who have disabilities. We have a local organization that helps the blind. I think they'd like reading this poem. Would you mind if I shared it with the director, Barbara Ross? She'd use it to motivate volunteers. Love, Carolyn
