Eye Witness

Sole witness to the finished crime,
a crystal chandelier
pending above the victim.

Its throng of hanging crystals
tolling to the beat 
set by the predator's exit.

There are so many things they could tell us if they had a voice. But then again, that is what poetry is about, right? Giving voice to voiceless entities. Thank you for your words, Jan. :)
