You can read so much through simple eye contact.
When my eyes connect with yours
I read so many stories
stories of need, stories of want
stories of what we had
and what we lost
stories of desire
stories of lust
stories of trust that we never lost
Stories of companionship
Stories of your past
Stories of temptation
Stories of everlasting affection and protection
Way passed seeing me as a sister
Way passed as a friend
When our eyes connect
the old you returns
and just for a second
I see hope.
