Exquisite Spring Softness
Exquisite spring softness floating in casually
Delighting the meadow with her yearly dance
Ruby red dahlia and cheerful neon pink geranium
Urging their prime buds toward the surface,
Frothy green lamb’s ear, showing her face
Birdsong announcements, as spring shows herself
Softly at first, gentling in a soft, fanciful way.
By the middle of May, in generous full glory.
