Expressions

I'm drowning in a river of tears,
My heart paints,
A sketch of depression.
I'm drowning,
In an ocean of oppression,
My lips speak for freedom.

Like Martin Luther King Jr,
I have a dream,
That I'm not judge,
By the pain on the laces,
Of my heart,
But,
By the legacy my heart prints,
From its laces.

My mother told me,
"Life is not measured,
By the breath we take,
But,
By the moments,
That takes our breath away".

My dream sleeps,
Under my sleeves.
My legacy won't be written,
It will be carved in the sky.
In bold letters,
My prints will trend the world.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

“Moments that take our breath away” made a wonderful missive my friend.
