Expanded Vision

upon the vast, vertical canvas;
footholds few and far between;
you're standing on a frail protrusion
face to the wall
staring
without encouragement
at one frozen frame

 i jumped
and now i'm falling
i'm seeing the eternal flow
through only my eyes
but the image moves;
a silent bolt of lightning
so believe not the completion
your single dead pixel alludes to

i jumped
and now i'm falling;
there is more here
than any of us can handle
and i can see the attraction
of all those distractions
