Exodus To Socialism
There are days when the slow queue
on the highway leading to work feels like animals
being led to slaughter,There are no choices,
only proceed forward.
Once at work, strings on the violin play
the same tune, over and over, a masterpiece
of predetermined design.
I gave a free meal to a beggar passing by, her
smile spoke of good fortune, found.
Then it struck me, what right do I have give my
master's money away? we donate to
the United Way, is that not enough?
my master tithes 3% to the less-fortunate
already.
I got back in the slow queue on the highway
to go home, keeping my thoughts to
myself, I only share them with you
