Exodus Children and the Dream
Though time tested and weary worn,
We remain steadfast in the perilous journey.
You cannot beat us down with you scorn;
Nor destroy us with hate and abject illegality.
In the hour of darkness and the gloom of day,
The struggle will continue and shall never cease.
Liberation is a process allowing nothing to get in its way;
The table has turned; the shorn no longer fears the beast.
The story has already been told; we’re children of the Exodus;
Over the desert and across the sea floor, our feet have gone.
There is nothing in your narrow-mindedness that can stop us;
No shootings or bombings can prevent the dream reaching home.
Many beautiful lives we have lost; but not our sacred hope;
And what once was despair, is now just a simple footnote.
