Exile

Yesterday my pen ran out of ink
Today I’m drowning in much sorrow
As of right now, I dread tomorrow
Life and all it entails just stinks

Lately all I’ve felt is pure gloom
I’m surrounded by clouds of darkness
No longer do I pursue happiness
I feel like my world is doomed

I have absolutely no reason to smile
Sadness has taken over my soul
I have no desire to become whole
I live in a state of eternal exile

Writing in itself always felt to me a solitary affair. Congrats on your win, Alexis!

This feeling of desolation could be quite dreary. Not a good state to be in. I hope its fiction, Alexis. Well congrats on your fine win.

I agree w/Arthur. A powerful and tragically sad poem. The spirit of defeat is in a lot of depressed people today. This poem told their story very well. Excellent poetry. Love and hugs to you.
