Excuses
Excuses or abuses, I guess it goes both ways.
When duty calls to get things done.
And procrastination goes on for days.
Sometimes in life things change so much.
You use excuses as a crutch.
But clocks keep ticking on the wall.
Maybe it's time to answer the call.
But wait, I think that there's a chance.
That maybe I'll learn a new dance.
And magic minute maids will come and clean.
The dust that's taken off the sheen.
I guess that's why they call it an excuse.
Because we both know it's a bit obtuse.
To put things off just prolongs strife.
Will we ever learn this part of life?
