What will I exchange today?
I’m willing to let go
I’m willing to give in
I’m willing to give out
But not willing to give up
I’m willing to give up the past
I’m willing to admit that I’m abused and battered
I’m willing to admit I’m sad
I’m willing to admit I’m lonely
I’m willing to admit I want to be free
I’m willing to admit I want to be loved
I’m willing to say I’m indifferent to my mate
I’m willing to say I hate the person I’ve become
I’m willing to say I’m a lustful person to my imagination
I’m willing to say I want what is not good for me now

I’m giving up my intolerance
I’m giving up my anger
I’m giving up my bitterness
I’m giving up my hurt
I’m exchanging all of this

To live in truth
To live in the moment
To live with purpose
To live with joy
Living in disillusion no longer, my heart is willing to let you
in again and again.

Yes to your demands of love and affections, yes to the sweet
aroma of intimacy.
Beautifully exchanged
