Excerpt From the Compilation Prayer, Number 1, Laughter

Excerpts from the compilation: “Prayer” - 1 Laughter

I wish that our joy-filled Laughter
Could completely rattle and shake
the apparently impenetrable walls of our castles,
So deep and complete,
That it blows out the rusty nails, bars and broken shutters,
So that the sunlight pours in
And warms our shivering bones
And melts the still frozen places
in our chests, hands and minds.
And the wind blows away and scatters
The old toys that we outgrew years ago
And newspapers
That we collected and treasured our whole lives,
That actually have no purpose
Except to take up valuable space.
