Evissia
They say that on Ibiza
you can travel into the harbor
riding on a good or indifferent wave
and depending on the choice its made
the Island can welcome you with open arms
or four years later send you on your way
They say that on Ibiza
you can tocar la magia
and all your worries will be swept away
it’s a place for spiritual hippies
smoking weed and healing kundalinis
and the island has a dreamy sense of space
They say that on Ibiza
you can party till you drop
so long as you have the rave-with-all
and the drugs they’ll never stop
so long as you have the money with ya
it’s a poseures paradise of frenetic sexual cornucopia
They say that on Ibiza
there’s a place out in the country
inbetween all the fences, gates and walls and cages
you can find a little peace there
but don’t ever try to stay there
‘cause the police will move you on
when they get the call
Something they always say on Ibiza
is viva el turista
while empting your pockets of all your hard earned cash
and everyone is climbing one upon one anothers back
looking for some way to screw you over
on the tiny island of coppyright reserved
They say that on Ibiza
you can spend a fortune on just one night in Pacha
good time chamagne can cost you all have
and the poor girls on the street
always have to make the two loose ends of the cost of living meet
They say that on Ibiza there is a whispered rumour
of where the popstars and the actors
go to spend a quiet time
sharing their tabels with pimps and criminals
while they complain about overly expensive wine
They say that on Ibiza
the fortunes of many have come to rest
but like a garrapata sucks the fortue from
those who have nothing left
and so many cling to the illusion
to which they have been sold
never seeing that Evissia really has no soul
And there on the island of Ibiza
you will try to make your way
but you’ll end up used up
spat out anyway
everyone is struggling to make it through the winter
until it’s time to praise viva el turista
eats their hollow souls away
these are the empty people who always
choose to stay
