Evil Prevails

Evil Prevails.
A poem by Kim.

They still lie in the corner of my room.
Stalking in darkness, shrouding themselves in hate.
We all love hate.
Until it gnaws back at us.
We can never kill evil.
Though is that really a reason to die?
My blood still shimmers in me.
My breath still hovers in the air.
I can still see the light, even when engulfed in the darkness of a rat so malignant.
Before I’ve always felt malice grasp me.
Still it grasps me now.
But it cannot kill me now.
