Evie's Boston Cream Pie

Evie's Boston Cream Pie is so heavenly to eat I can't deny
She's the greatest cook that I dearly know of
Her cooking even goes beyond heaven's door
Makes my mouth still wanting more, more
Sure wish I could cook as well like her, her
She's so talented with whatever comes her way
I think, I'd love to have a big heart like her some day
Evie's Boston Cream Pie is so very scrumptious I have to say
When she bakes she makes enough to feed an army; Hooray!!!

I just had to visit this one since I wrote a prose piece with a title that had Boston Cream in it. That stuff is YUMMY. thanks for your kind words. Did you change your name or something? I don't remember a Hummingbird visiting me when I first came to Soup. haha!! (were you under another name?) I'm gonna look at one of your first poems and see if I visited you back then!

When I first came onto Poetry Soup last year in late fall, I deleted all my poems and left the soup for a while and came back in May of this year. Next May I will not be renewing my premium membership. You may remember me when I had posted many poems driving along on the Famous Route 66. Guess I can post one of them. Hahaha!! Yes she is so very apt in whatever she sets her mind on. She is quite shy when it comes down to her oil-painting and love of the fine arts and especially when she bakes. Now I think I will be in BIG, BIG trouble for doing this poem. She definitely is not a bragger of any sort. Hopefully she won't be to mad.... hugs Theresa

Hahaha!!! Sure do like your Mmmmm, comment on this penned poem of mine. My sis Evie is one fabulous baker, she even made her daughter's wedding cake years ago. Everyone always thought that she would eventually open up her own bakery but alas she had and will always have a passion for writing and painting. Hugs Theresa
