Notes About The Poem

Evidence of Christ

Evidence of Christ: by M. Griswold 07172020

Was Jesus Christ a myth or did He really exist?
The evidence is written but is just historical mist.
Both Roman and Jewish historical texts agree.
There, in fact, was a man named Jesus of Galilee.

None can deny that He was crucified upon a cross.
Some would argue that His death was at no big loss.
Yet others say that because of His life's sacrifice given.
Many will be saved and their sins all fully forgiven.

Thinking that God has left it up to us to believe or not.
All those stories in the Bible of His life's history sought.
For each of us will search our souls and become a sleuth.
Is going to be His gauge of faithfulness to find our truth.

To believe or not believe in Jesus Christ is all up to you.
To believe in one God or many, this choice is yours too.
Wherever your faith is in Jesus Christ when you finally die.
That's where your spirit and soul will forever either live or lie.
