Everything Is Bright

~

No moon shall grace
the evening sky
‘bove heavens clouded mist

No glowing light
to greet the eye
with shadows darkly kissed

No stars to shine
of endless view
as gray contains the night

Still as I sleep
I dream of you
and everything is bright
