Everything, Hath An End

Listening to a speech,
words of effulgence
flowing from his mouth
words of emotions
I adore
So sensible and fluent he was
And then,
it ends.

Watching a movie,
so intense and emotional
I lived in it and was
living in it.
Reflections of my life
reflected in the screen
And then,
it ends.

Partying with friends
wow, the girls
shooting arrows at me
from the eyes
And the jokes I enjoyed
Foods and drinks I had
delicious it was
Never ending
But then,
it ends.

Everything, hath an end
O reader
Everything hath an end
Everything hath bounds
Everything
I mean, everything
Even rebirth
Everything hath an end
Nothing in this world
is immutable.

Love ends, hate ends
Desire ends, affair ends
Money ends, penury ends
He ends, she ends
My thought ends and my life ends
Everything hath an end
O reader
Everything hath an end.

what a sad poem Jenish, very true though. I thought that rebirth was a beginning until I realised that once that happened that was the end of that... Please excuse my ignorance. I thought that Eternal meant everlasting. I found this poem thought-provoking ... Thank you

Thank you Shirley for your wonderful comment.. End is not that sad.. End gives us the opportunity for another new beginning..

Congratulations Jenish, on your honorable place finish in the Jump contest. I enjoyed reading it. Thanks for entering. It was profound to experience the number of ways of experiencing ends, but you need some white space in the poem to make it stronger. Add lines to separate ideas.

Hey, even I have an end -- and an ever-spreading one at that.... Seriously, much food for thought here. Thanks, ~ Gershend Wolf
