Everything Cuts Deeper These Days
Everything cuts deeper these days
We lose our mind over little things
It’s ourselves that have to pay
For a set of angelic wings
I’m starting to mistake stupidity
For the much anticipated serendipity
And though I’m cold and lost
I keep the tab of what it costs
To continue on this trail where
I hope that one day I’ll just get there.
Is the world only normal when I’m
Not looking? Or is there some odd
Recipe that god is cooking?
If only i had these answers,
If only there was some book
That held the cure to these cancers,
Id tell you where to look.
Still, everything cuts deeper these days
Our minds are lost in fantacies
It's the price we will all have to pay,
For our senceless vanities.
