Everyday Hero: Strength In Silence
At the crack of dawn, the break of light
I stand awaiting the upcoming fight
My pain concealed, my fears unknown,
Giving hope in darkness, the skill that I've honed.
An Atlas bearing world's weight,
Yet, with a gracious smile I accept my fate
For each faltering soul, I bear the pain,
Behind these broad shoulders, I feel the strain.
Each day I march forward, undeterred by fright,
With arms wide open, embracing the fight.
"I am here," I proclaim to the lonely sky,
Unfazed by fate's gaze and ever watchful eye.
If here I falter, it will be clear,
That I was no hero, not the man I revere.
Yet, in my journey, truth unfolds,
Not all heroes are as the story's told.
It's the will to stand in the face of plight,
That makes a hero, in the harshest night.
So, I don my unseen cape, grand and bright,
Carrying the world on my back with all my might.
In the face of pain, a smile ear to ear,
Because I am David, "The man with no fear!"
