Everybody Needs Somebody

Everybody needs somebody
Some one to talk to
Some one to love
Some one to hold you

To share your dreams
And to make it come true
To say how awesome you are
Because you are just you

A shoulder to cry on
When you are have a bad day
To bring back your smile
And never let it go away

We all need some one
It’s just what humans do
So please forgive me
When I say I need you

Every body needs
Some one to miss
Needs some one
To hold, to hug, to kiss

Some one to hear our story
Some one to share a recipe
Some one to cling on to
When we see a scary movie

When the simple things we do
Means the world to them
Who will understand us?
And never quick to condemn

We don’t get to choose
Our looks or color of our skin
So to see the real person
We have to look deep with in

Because we all need some one
It’s just what humans do
So please forgive me
When I say I love you

Every body needs some one
No matter whom you are
Some needs some one near
And some true loves are very far

Even the unfortunate homeless
Or a famous movie star
Even an ER surgeon
Or a patron drinking in a bar

Yes we all need some one
It’s just our human nature
The only girl I need
Is near but still so very far
