Every Man's Challenge

A man of modest mien and means
    his genius hidden ‘behind-the-scenes’
The Rebbe of Lubavitch in NYC was the address
for those who aspired to success

For over forty years, ‘til 1994
those who knocked at his door
from early morning ‘til far into the night
came away with clarity, unparalleled light

He challenged each visitor, from the States or overseas
to be the absolute best they could possibly be
Accepting no excuses, delays or ‘lack of passion’
The Rebbe told them: “Obstacles are miracles
			                         ~ waiting to happen”*

Gershon, I had a mentor who always told me "the doing starts when the trying stops".....The Rebbe sounds like a wise man who shared his wisdom with all who sought it.

gw, I've always said, "Saying you'll do your beat is just a clever way of allowing yourself to fail."

Interesting, John. I had a mentor who never let me get away with 'I'll try my best." He always made me say, "I'll do it." Wise words. Thanks, gw

I love these smart words that make sense. Procrastinating, complaining, and laziness will make a person unhappy.
