Every Good Boy Deserves Favor

He plays a steel guitar and serenades the stars.
Electric tears turn into notes that play across the moon.

They speak of a lonely man, though women chase him.
He sees only her and when they call his name, it hurts.

It plucks the strings of his heart, as he yearns for lost love.
The rifts of regret take away his breath and what to live for!

"But Joe", said the drummer, what about what you said"?
"You know, those words...about that old power of love"!

A smiling girl swayed to the twangy guitar, a happy guitar.
For every good boy deserves favor...in a young girl's heart!
