Every Day

Every day is a moment of time
you are a living being with a heart
and mind. Every day is a gift;
you can let it bring you down
or give you a lift.

Your heart is beating, and you are
breathing air. You eat food and drink
water; these things keep you here.
You have the power of choice and,
you have the right to be your own boss.

This is what it means to be a living human
being. It's not a fantasy or a dream. You are
everything you were made to be. You have
mental vision and eyes to see.

Every day, these things are yours;
you can do what you want to do.
if you choose to live or die for a cause,
the power to do it is not lost.

Yes, maybe there are people who control
your life. But even that can't stop you from
doing what you think is right. Life is a
chance you have to take. Only you will receive
the rewards of your faith.

So when you wake in the morning sun, you owe
your life to no one. Just like every day you are
also unique in that very same way.

One of the best poems I've come across in a long time. It's a remarkable take from the tree's point of view.

This poem emits the strong and masculine temper of bravado and male bonding in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I am lucky enough to see them through my window every morning. Hope your next hunt is as successful and fulfilling as this poem was for me.
