Ever Patiently Awaiting Your Arrival But Not Before Time
My parachute rises
My feet don't touch the ground
Leave no footprint on the moon
And i float in and on water
Leave no reflection in a mirror
And no one ever sees me
Nor invites me out or round for dinner
I once upon a time used to walk
amongst you and chew my food
Until that fateful day i crossed
over
And now i shadow you religiously
silently sheltering you from harm
Now ever waiting for you join me in
this so called after life
Where we the dead persist in
solitary alignment patiently
awaiting your arrival
For not one single second longer
or shorter until your time has
lapsed as well
And finally have you beside me
once again safe in the knowledge
That even death can never tear us
apart ever again
Death is for life
Just longer without clocks
or watches as no one needs
to know what date or time it is
