Ever I Knew How

If ever I knew how, I never know when
Shall I know when, I never knew how
Expectancy reached yet never to expand
Have I not began then, might I begin now?

If you knew... life wouldn't be so
It's expected to be unexpected in every aspect
Yet I do wonder if ever we did grow?
Where every a thing might simply wither and lack?

Every new to replace every old
Every phase without a pace
Every experience infiltrated and sold
Every one dream forever endless to chase

Moving along, sailing pass time
Helplessly watching everything hopefully
Singing a song, leaving all else behind
Where everything leaves but a tuneful melody

If I never knew how, I'll know when
Perhaps I can begin ever again now
Destination reached to watch it expand
When now I know, I might just know how
