Event Horizon

They think so little of us. They attack us with lies and shield us with trust. As if our minds are blind, shrouded in dust, from the tyranny that their love had cursed. For the first time, I am torn, in search for divine, as I don’t know if this mind is still mine. For she broke me, crossed too many lines, but I’ve lived the future, she’s all in my eyes. But perhaps, it is I that still lies to the mirror I stare, for I whisper to my soul, that she is still there. Thinking, she could still care, but to be fair maybe she’s here, I just don’t see where. As for her I’d sink into the dark, have a conversation and leave without a heart. For as the devil pleads it gets way too hard, my strength is depleted and the pain is now art. I never knew how to say goodbye. Perhaps I do, but for her I don’t know why, my lips are just sealed, my soul still cries, she broke me to pieces and left me to die. It’s time.
