Evening Star
If in the distant sky I were the evening star, I would not hesitate to come from afar.
I would plead with you to look very carefully, so that you don't miss me in that vast galaxy.
I would sparkle and light up the night just for you. I'd sing and dance, and be gone by the morning dew.
Before the break of dawn, I would write you a poem. Then I'd hasten to my abode before the coming storm.
I'd tell all my stary friends how beautiful and lovely you are. They would rejoice with me, never thinking that I was bizarre.
