Soothing one, Matt. NO I can't say that I heard of that magazine you told me about. the thing with haiku is that the modern haiku is much different than the traditioanl 5/7/5 and I notice here not many people are doing haiku the right way, NOt even myself! That's why I rarely write in that form. let me know if this magazine you are talking about just caters to the traditional haiku people. THen i might stand a chance of getting published in it!! Luv, andrea

Hey, Matt, this could have served as an entry into the Nightfall contest! If it's still going on, you should enter it (unless you already entered another one) Have you entered many contests here? They sure do have alot of them! LUv, Andrea

Excellent Haiku Matthew. If you go to the home page, the last 263 poems are there, and yours is one of them. Semaj is just someone i have created, i like writing fantasy with meanings. I hope one day to write a fantasy story. Have a Merry Christmas >> James

Beautiful haiku, Matthew. It reminds me of a Bonnie Raitt tune -- "The Dimming of the Day." How lucky we are that sunlight revives after an overnight hibernation. We all need a little light in our lives and your comments about the speech you gave to the anti-war gathering have won my admiration. Thanks for your words of comfort. God bless you, as He apparently already has. Much love, Carolyn
