Evening Blues

The sun leaves the sky Streetlamps cast their shadows on the land Peaceful breezes blow and rustle the trees standing on the pavement A truck passes by with its headlights on Only a little while ago the bright star which is 93 million miles away Sent down its rays onto the pavement Now amidst the clouds one can see the moon The White Face has replaced the yellow face A wistful feeling is in the air Blues on a spring evening Let sleep carry you away from the city Into the dream - like world Something we can take joy in with closed eyes Something we can take joy in with closed eyes

gorgeously descriptive... i hoped so and guessed it may be one thing you strived by what you said when you reviewed mine... i love the way you put in the real fact of distance yet it just became comfortable and almost whimsical ... lovely read tyvm karen

very bluesy, Matt. Yes, I was in New York just once. My once-upon-a-time friend invited me there in 2000. I only saw it in one day but we had an awesome time. Enjoy your vacation time!!
